Baby Jameson

Aaron's best friend Justin and his wife had a baby a couple of weeks ago. A baby boy! Named Jameson! And he is perhaps the cutest baby boy ever. And the girls LOVE him. As soon as we heard that he was born, the girls were begging to go to the hospital to visit. And so we did (but not immediately -we gave Kara a little time, we are not cruel)

So cool to see Justin as a daddy, and Aaron there with our kids - things have really changed since high school!!!

Ella was in heaven! She loves babies and wanted to hold him and kiss him the whole time. Which was really too bad for her because that was MY plan!!! But Ella calls him her "practice brother" and she LOOOOVES him!

Unfortunately, she has started begging for a baby brother more than ever. Hard to blame her though, babies are awesome!

And Avery had a chance too - she wasn't quite as into it as Ella was, but she loves to kiss him and exclaim over his "tiny baby hands/feet/eyes/etc!!!"

Since they have been home from the hospital we have been over to visit a few times. Including one blissful afternoon when Kara took a nap and I snuggled Jameson on the couch and read a book for HOURS! It was soooooo nice to hold a baby - reminded me of my glorious maternity leave when Avery was born, the happiest 3 months of my life. And the girls were my able bodied helpers - mostly they watched TV or sat beside me and watched the baby make cute faces.  Once Jameson finally woke up they took the opportunity to get in some baby time.

I think Jameson is getting used to the little girl attention/affection he is showered with when we are around.

He might be starting to like it!!!
