Pumpkin Carving *New Pics!*

We carved pumpkins for the first time this year. Of course, since I am not about to let Ella or Avery near a knife Aaron and I did all the actual carving, but Ella picked out the designs and I think both girls had a fun time.

Here is my masterpiece, the Monster!

Aaron's pumpkin is the "fire girl" design, Ella's favorite one!


The night before Halloween, at like 5:00 in the morning, Aaron heard a really loud banging noise on the front porch, like someone was trying to break into our house. He ran out to check it out and when he looked through the peep hole he saw two moose trying to eat our pumpkins!!! They had knocked them off the railing and the banging noise was the bull moose's antlers hitting the railing trying to get to the pumpkins. Luckily they didn't break, just got a little mushed :)

The moose came back this morning!


This time it was sucessful in getting the pumpkins!

She spent quite a bit of time in front of our door eating a pumpkin off the front porch. Ella was both worried and excited. She kept yelling "Moosie! Get away from my slide!" and then later naming the moose and asking if it could be our pet and if we could build a house for it. She wanted to name it Fritz.

Hopefully the moose will leave soon so we are not trapped in the house all day. It refuses to be scared away!!!

At least Halloween is over now maybe this will be our last front porch visitor for the year :)
