Christmas Crafting

At midnight I had a brilliant idea for Christmas stockings for our family. I meant to make some last year (and the year before) but I never got around to it. So, since I had an idea, and actual motivation to do something I decided to get working even though I know I will be tired tomorrow.

I made up the pattern myself, even though I don't LOVE the shape, it isn't too bad. The stocking part is made of some oatmeal colored linen I had in my stash. Actually, I already had all the fabric. It is kind of nice to be able to make up something on the spur of the moment without having to go to the store! (I am obviously trying to justify the insane amount of fabric I have!)

I think it turned out pretty cute! I still have to finish and make three more - hopefully I can actually do it before Christmas!
