Ella is Silly

Ella has done a few cute/funny things lately that I wanted to share.

First, when Avery started crying tonight Ella stopped playing, looked up and said "She needs me" and ran over to where Avery was sitting and started singing rock-a-bye baby. It was so so sweet!!! When she first got home from daycare, the first thing she asked is "where is Avery Kate?" and when she saw her she ran right over, kissed her and said "look at her tiny fingers Daddy! I want to kiss her tiny baby hands" She is always so excited that Avery has such tiny parts.

Second, We discovered that Ella is a master of reverse psychology. Ella was trying to boss Aaron around and he told her "you are not the boss of me!" and Ella said back "you are not the boss of me!" Aaron said it back to her again, then Ella said "you ARE the boss of me" and Aaron said to her "you are the boss of me!" And it is true - Ella is the boss of Daddy :)

Finally, Ella has a VERY active imagination. Usually it takes the form of multiple invisible pretend tiny babies and baby accessories (each pretend baby needs a crib and pacifier and food, etc) or going to the store (sometimes the pink store) - in her pink car to buy food (usually pink food) which she then feeds us. But this weekend, Ella was playing with her doll - Baby - and to my surprise, Baby is kind of a daredevil. She tried to stand up on the coffee table by herself. Tragically she fell. Ella informed me that Baby had a bad owie on her head and so Ella was going to be a doctor to fix her owies. Ella took her temperature (under her arm - it was 17 which is apparently good), listened to her heart (it was good), and got some bandaids for her owie. It was amazing how much detail Ella put into her pretending, she opened the box of bandaids - some fell on the floor so she picked them up, then she opened up each bandaid and carefully placed it on Baby's terrible owies. Then she kissed each owie and asked Baby if she was feeling better. Lucky for all of us, Baby ended up just fine thanks to Ella's care. I can't wait to see what Ella comes up with next!!!
