We carved a pumpkin - an Ella original design with girly lips and eyelashes. Because that is how you know something is a girl Ella tells me, if it has long eyelashes.
We also had two smaller pumpkins for the girls to draw on because they were too little to use the knife to carve. But Ella says Avery wanted her to color them both - so here we have a pumpkin prince and princess colored by Ella.
The girls were fairys. Originally Ella decided they would be fairy witches (a fairy wearing a witch hat) but at the last minute decided she wanted ribbons in her hair instead, so the witch hats stayed home. It is weird how Ella always seems to get her way...
As always, Ella is an enthusiastic model!
Avery not so much. This almost looks like a smile - much better than the face she made in all the other pictures.
That is more like it - this is the face Avery usually makes in pictures, when she is not in the mood to get her picture taken. Which is most of the time.
We went trick or treating to Ama and Papa's house and then one quick up and down the street in our neighborhood. And that was MORE than enough candy. Also it was freezing and I wanted to go home. I am a Halloween party pooper I guess.
But the girls had fun and have been asking non-stop how long it is until the next Halloween. Ella loves dressing up, and Avery just wants more candy. It will be interesting to see how long Ella can coerce Avery into having matching Halloween costumes :)
