Aside from being the most snuggly baby/big girl ever with the most active imagination ever - she asserts quite emphatically that she has a brother named Ethan, he lives in a trailer park - she is also starting to be interested in some preschool type activities. Generally speaking, Avery has shown no interest in any "school" stuff, but lately she has been very interested in learning to write her name! Amazing!
So this morning, after we walked Ella to school, we had some school time for Avery!Here she is, hard at work:
She can write her name! And she knows what the letters are! But if you ask her how to spell it (or any word) it will without fail include the letters E-L-L. For example, E-L-L-D spells Daddy. Perhaps Ella has TOO big of an influence on her little sister :)
Oh, why yes, she is still wearing her jammies - Avery would wear jammies or dress up clothes 24-7 if it was an option. Also, she declined to get her hair brushed this morning. She prefers Daddy as her hair stylist - he is "more gentler" and Mommy is "more meaner" Whatever that means.
But look! Her name! What a smart big girl she is, and so proud of her work!
Surely this does not mean that she is really a big girl, babies can write their name too, right? Right?!?!?!
