Ella is teeny tiny bit obsessed with ballerinas and princesses. Ella also firmly believes that she is in fact a ballerina princess (or sometimes just a ballerina or just a princess depending on her mood and outfit) Being a ballerina princess means that you have to always wear a beautiful dress, or multiple dresses, skirts, tutus and shirts, you always have to wear fancy shoes (especially high heels), and you always have to wear many beautiful jewels, headbands and hair clips.
Because Ella is a ballerina princess, she is an expert on ballerina princesses. Or as she says, "Mommy, I know EVERYTHING about ballerinas princesses, EVERYTHING!" She likes to share her knowledge too. I thought I should take some time to pass on some of this information:
1. Ballerinas are real real strong to walk on their tippy toes all day long.
2. Ballerinas do not like time outs.
3. Ballerinas are pretty so they need a new dress all the time.
4. Ballerinas like to share so you should share your cookie with Ella
5. Ballerinas are masters of balance not the masters of disguise
6. Ballerinas like pink, so they should have pink shoes
7. Ballerinas like to help people like the Police but they dance more beautifully (she must have seen Aaron dance!)
8. Princesses have pretty teeth so they don't need to brush them at bedtime
9. Princesses like to stay up real real late in the night time
10. Princesses do not like time outs
11. Princesses do not need to hold hands in the parking lot
12.Princesses need beautiful jewels to look fancy so you should give Ella your necklace
13. Ballerina princesses don't need to wear jammies, their beautiful dresses have everything they need to stay warm at night. But ballerina princesses also don't need to go to bed
14. Ballerina princesses like to read 8 stories at bedtime
15. Ballerina princesses can drive cars when they are 7 or maybe 8
16. Ballerina princesses don't pick up because they are not messy, they are beautiful
17. Ballerina princesses can say "no" like Mommies and teachers
18. Ballerina princesses like to read the time, so you should give your watch to Ella
You may have noticed a trend, surprisingly Ballerina Princesses don't like to do things that 3 year old girls have to do. They also like fancy things and want all your stuff. Very interesting...Ella passes on this information when it seems most appropriate. Like for example.
Ella, take your dress off and put on your jammies - see #13
Ella, take your plate and cup into the kitchen - see #16
Ella, go to time out - see #2 and #10
Ella, its bedtime, pick out a book - see #14 and #9
I never thought I would learn so much from such a little girl.
