When Ella woke up she went into Ama's room and slept a little bit more in Ama's bed so I could sleep in (which was great!) Then we got ready - Ella wore a ballerina dress and tights so she looked "fancy". Then we took a quick break to hug the new baby.
Our first stop was REI. Ella tried out the big kid bikes to see which one she would want to get this summer. She really liked the pink one with streamers on the handlebars. Unfortunately that one was too high to test out, so she tried blue instead. She looks like such a big kid on a bike!
Then we went to the toy store where Ella got a coloring and sticker book. Then we went to the book store. Ella's favorite part was walking on the big rocks outside. She also got a new book - Horton Hears a Who, which is the longest book she has so far. She loves to listen to books with more of a story, and she has been liking Dr. Seuss books a lot (Cat in the Hat is her favorite). Since we saw the Horton movie, we have been looking for the book, I am glad we finally found it!
Ella likes to try out different seats wherever we go. Even if the seat is really a magazine rack!
Then we went out to lunch at Chili's which included delicious and messy oranges for Ella's dessert. She really really liked them!
Then we came home just in time for a story and a nap. It was Ama's turn to lay by Ella, and they read her new book.
