Avery: A Year in Review

It is hard to believe that Avery is a year old! She still seems like my tiny baby even though she is getting bigger and bigger everyday. She has changed a lot in the past month or so, turning into a big girl!

Some Avery facts:
- She crawls and walks holding hands or furniture.
- She can climb stairs as I discovered today when someone wasn't watching her as closely as they should have and she climbed the front steps (I am not naming names - but it wasn't me!)
- She eats anything and everything, and usually lots of it! This weekend she tried hummus on pita bread and LOVED it. In fact, I can't remember a time when she has turned down food...
- She can use a fork to eat, but prefers her hands.
- She can drink out of a sippy cup and a cup with a straw so if she sees you drinking something with a straw she will look at you, open her mouth wide and say "eheheh"
- Her hair is curly!!!
- She says Ella, Mama, Dada, and All Done and shakes her head "no" which is funny and adorable and irritating all at the same time. She has also said Ama and Papa.
- We cannot go anywhere without at least 3 people commenting on her hair and asking where she got it.
- She hates the swimming pool, but loves to take a bath with her sister. If Ella is taking a bath alone Avery will crawl in and stand by the tub to play.
- If Ella is not around, she calls for her.
- Her nicknames are Avie, Avs, Sweeter, Chubs and Chubser (Ella usually calls her Avs and Chubs)
- She loves to give hugs, and sometimes, if you ask if she has any kisses she will kiss you - but sometimes she shakes her head no.
- She still does not have any teeth, but I am positive that the bottom two are coming in. She is the only toothless baby at daycare :)
- She has a cute sweet baby laugh and also an even cuter laugh that sounds like a pirate.

We are so lucky to have such a sweet baby!
